Ministries

St. John's has a heart for ministry. There are three distinct areas of ministry that we focus on:

1. The sharing of the gospel of Jesus Christ. This, we believe, is the primary call of Christ on our lives as stated in the Great Commission.

2. Caring for the youth of Ulysses. St. John's definitely places the youth of the community as a top priority, as evidenced in our yearly baseball camp as well as the Christian rock concert we will be sponsoring for the youth this coming August.

3. Caring for those in need. St. John's takes seriously the command to care for the needy among us and to love our neighbors as ourselves. St. John's has been very active in trying to care for the needy, doing such things as sponsoring families through communities in schools; collecting goods and supplies to send to Greensburg for tornado relief; and most notably our May mission trip to New Orleans to help in the post-Katrina recovery efforts.
